A wedding is not just a day to feel beautiful & have gorgeous photos to print above the sofa. It is a lifetime commitment to the world that “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.”
i started getting into photography 10 years ago, because frankly, i didn't like being photographed.
I was insecure as a teenager (weren't we all?) & found myself wanting to be out of the spotlight. That developed into a love for capturing people. I remember sitting in church at 17 (whoops) just writing down idea after idea & drawing cartoon poses for what I wanted to photograph. I never dreamed I could do this freelance as a career with clients I LOVE. Full time photography is honestly a big leap of faith. I jumped in February 2021 & God has provided for me in so many ways.
I lived in China for 1.5 years & traveled mainly throughout Asia. I'm forever ruined by Thai food now, but my eyes have been opened to how beautiful & diverse this world has been created. Traveling is something I value & love to do -even if it's just an hour away exploring a little town.
Finding my WHY has been such a journey. A marriage needs support, grace, laughter in tough moments, and remembering the commitment and love. A wedding day is not just a big party for friends and family to celebrate you two (although that is part of it!). It’s not just a day to feel beautiful & have gorgeous photos to print above the sofa. It is a lifetime commitment to the world that “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” I want to celebrate and support you in that step.
When I'm not snapping photos you will find me hanging with my nieces/nephews, thrifting, playing board games, volleyball, audiobooks, or finding new coffee shops. (Send me all your book/podcast/show/coffee shop recs!!)
